Every year, millions of lives are saved through the simple, selfless act of blood donation. This year, the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi Central, invites you to be a part of a life-saving mission.
In addition to our donation drive, we are hosting a vital seminar on Thalassaemia Screening and Management. Patients with Thalassaemia Major rely on regular blood transfusions to survive—making your contribution more meaningful than ever.

Why Attend the Thalassaemia Talk?
Thalassaemia is an inherited blood disorder that causes the body to have less hemoglobin than normal. Our expert panel of hematologists and cardiologists will cover:
- The critical importance of pre-marital and pre-conception Thalassaemia screening.
- Modern advancements in the management and care of Thalassaemia patients.
- How regular, voluntary blood donations directly sustain these patients’ lives.

Before you step up to donate, please ensure you meet the basic criteria:
- Age: 18 to 65 years old.
- Weight: Minimum 45 kg.
- Health: Good general health, adequate sleep the night before, and a healthy meal prior to donation.
- Hemoglobin: Minimum 12.5 g/dL.
